Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the deployment of the quality strategy for a local organizational unit, including quality culture, systems, tools, and competent teams with the aim to achieve and exceed customer expectations, while ensuring sustainable operations. Each day, you will assist the organization in achieving the right mix of prevention, continuous improvement, robust root cause analysis, quick response, and sustainable solutions to problems. You will also showcase your expertise by collaborating with local functions that impact the quality results to reach the targets for the organizational unit and aim for world-class performance.
The work model for the role is: Onsite
This role is contributing to the Motion IEC LV Motors Division in Peenya, Bangalore. In this role you will be reporting to Quality Manager.
You will be accountable for:-
Provide support in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective actions on Quality issues at all stages of Motor manufacturing.
Evaluate non-conformities, failures and identify cause and take appropriate corrective actions as may be required at in-house.
Develop and execute quality control plans for Motors.
Conduct process audits and process validations to ensure required quality standards are achieved.
Recommend process improvements for overall quality system.
Interact with customers through Front End Sales team and supervise corrective action on demand.
Develop and implement PPAP and SPC plans and test methods to qualify new components belongs to winding per requirement.
Ensure in-process Quality levels to target while executing Statistical process control to reduce drift and control processes.
Reporting of Operational Excellence such as internal rework/rejections.
Co-ordinate with Customers for scheduling of inspection such as NTPC, BHEL etc
This role is graded at GGS 14
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering with 10 years of relevant functional experience.
- Hands on with Measurement Techniques/Tooling & Jig qualifications/Process Qualifications/PPAP/SPC/ APQP
- Expertise with Motor Manufacturing Processes
- Improvement projects for Safety/Productivity/Quality Improvements.
- Hands on in Problem Solving/8D Methodology/ Production Technologies/Process Improvements – PFMEA/Kaizen/Poka- yoke
- Familiar with QMS ISO 9001:2015, EMS ISO 14001:2015 and OH&S ISO 45001:2018
